The trust students have in the DA Student Organisation (DASO) was reaffirmed when DASO candidates were elected to top leadership positions in the Grootfontein Agricultural College Student Representative Council (SRC).
The college is situated in Middelburg and the SRC election concluded on Wednesday, 25 October 2023.
After all the ballots were cast and the votes counted, five of DASO’s candidates won positions in the SRC and the House Committee.
Kuhle Lalapi was elected as president, while Gehrshwin Januarie and Duran Sauer will also now serve on the SRC.
Tsako Lulutho and Lungelo Msane were elected to the house committee.
This result is indicative of growing youth support for the DA.
Students deserve an honest and caring government, and the DA can give them that.
DASO will provide real leadership and create new possibilities at Grootfontein while continuing to fight for no student to be left behind.
