The Natural History Museum of Utah, located on the University of Utah campus at its new Rio Tinto Building home, is best known for its excellent collection of fossils (especially dinosaur fossils) as well as emphasis on the place of humans in the greater ecosystem. In the Salt Lake City area, where the vast majority of points of interest are affiliated with the Mormons, this is a very rare secular institution that stands out.
