The town of Graaff-Reinet in the Cacadu District beat nine other towns in 2010 to be named South Africa’s “Dorp van die jaar” or “Town of the year” in a competition run by the Rapport and Kwêla. Rich in history, culture and charm, this town is certainly a jewel in the heart of the Eastern Cape.
