Online entries have opened for the popular MYSPAR MTB CLASSIC to be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016.
Zuurbron Bike Park, owned by race director Mr. Jacques Steenkamp, is proud to be hosting this quality event which boasted a field of over 500 entrants last year. A MTB enthusiast himself, “Farmer Jacques” is responsible for the beautiful routes you will ride on his as well as neighbouring farms.
This year riders can choose from:
- A challenging 60km for the fit rider taking on farm roads, jeep & single tracks and of course the famous floating bridge. A 35km is on offer for the less technical mountain biker but don’t be fooled, it still requires a decent level of fitness. Both routes are beautiful and well worth the workout with fantastic views and indigenous flora and fauna to behold.
- A 10km MTB ride as well as a 10km fun farm run/walk are on the itinerary so with all this choice, there’s bound to be an activity for THE WHOLE FAMILY.
Not only have title sponsor, MYSPAR, increased their support this year but additional sponsors have come on board and the organisers will be passing this on to you, the participants. Goodie bags, loads of fantastic lucky draw prizes and some very tempting prize money is up for grabs.
Food stalls, Coffee Bars, jumping castles, face painting; sand art and that fantastic Zuurbron atmosphere will welcome you on the day. The generosity of local Koukamma businesses and the exploding number of participants ensure that this is one day on your calendar not to be missed. Bring the family and share in a wonderful experience at this beautiful venue.
