Cafda Village: A 27-year-old suspect was arrested on Monday on charges of murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm, as well as possession of ammunition and possession of a prohibited firearm. Grassy Park police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Wynita Kleinsmith, says nine officers from the Crime Prevention Unit responded to a shooting incident in Komlossy Street. Officers found a deceased gunshot victim at the address. They chased the suspect and caught him in Cradock Road. On searching him, they found a 9mm pistol with the serial number filed off, with one magazine and nine rounds of ammunition. Ottery: A 20-year-old man from the New Haven flats in Ottery was arrested on Monday after officers from Grassy Park Police Station’s Crime Prevention Unit followed up on information received. The suspect threw a firearm out a back window and into the waiting hands of police officers. Officers seized a 9mm pistol with a serial number, as well as one magazine and seven rounds of ammunition. The suspect faces charges of possession of an unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition.
