COMEDIENNE Debra Stephenson had to ditch her inhibitions to play Sixties TV kitchen queen Fanny Cradock for a series of shows.
Debra admits: “I’ve said the word Fanny so many times and it sounds so rude but you just get used to it. Thankfully, the comedy wears off.”
The Impressions Show star Debra plays Fanny for a run of special programmes on More4 on Sunday, giving her take on recipes from the likes of Gordon Ramsay and Jamie Oliver.
And at 10pm there will be a pilot for new show Fanny And Friends, which sees Debra in character helping a housewife cook a Sunday roast.
