General Motors SA has announced that the all-new Opel Astra sedan will be heading for South African shores.
The new sedan marks the return of the four-door Opel Astra to South Africa.
“The secret is out and there is a lot of excitement at Opel for the new Astra sedan, which will be launched in South Africa in October,” said Christopher Cradock, Opel Brand Manager at GMSA.
“The new Astra sedan follows the high standards forged by the hatchback and we expect a warm reception by South Africans, who tend to favour sedans.”
The four-model strong sedan range will be made up of the 1.6 Essentia, 1.4 Turbo Essentia, 1.4 Turbo Essentia Automatic and the range-topping 1.6 Turbo Cosmo.
GM says that pricing will be made available at launch.
